Alexa's art explores body and environment as both one and separate simultaneously. She is interested in perspectives of boundaries between things; specifically with the body, identity and communication. She invites a multidisciplinary process fusing dance with painting to create performance, multimedia and installation.

Alexa studied critical and social theory at U.C. Berkeley which has informed her process ever since. Trained in contemporary dance, she attended Syracuse University for her Master's blending her theoretical and dance backgrounds. After a residency with Dance Exchange, she produced a community movement workshop to reflect on identity constructs and cultivate empathy. Alexa also studied French at the Sorbonne in Paris.

Other creative projects include prop & fashion styling with brands such as Apple, Levi’s, Google and Neiman Marcus. Commercial and residential interior design as a designer; as well as project manager, product developer and brand experience curator.
